CHILDREN AGED FROM 8 TO 11 YEARS OLD

We place the emphasis on developing listening and speaking skills using songs, stories and games to support our learning program because we believe that learning French should be fun and this even more true with young children. Our French native teachers grow your child’s interest for the language and set strong foundations in syntax and vocabulary. Children gradually build self-confidence when speaking in French.
While your child participates in our classes, they will not only learn to speak French but they will also learn about the French culture. They will get to know French habits and customs, they will play French games, they will learn French rimes and discover French stories. Lessons follow a routine: we start with greetings. We then engage children in speaking French by asking them about the date and weather. Then children discover a few books carefully chosen to work on the theme of the day. Specific vocabulary and syntax are built through games before moving to an ‘hands on’ activity such as craft, science experiments…

- Each lesson includes listening, speaking, reading and writing activities.
- Plan lessons according to children’s interests and build on their previous knowledge. We do not use a pre-made method.
