We are a team of native French teachers with a passion for Education. We work together, promoting the French language and culture and taking pride in nurturing our students. The school program we designed for primary schools across the Northern Beaches allow children to discover French language and culture in a fun and interactive way. We are experienced and fully qualified in teaching French as a foreign language.
Outcomes
Syntax outcomes: children learn simple sentence structures in order to be able to introduce themselves in French and to initiate a basic communication.
Je m’appelle, j’habite, j’aime, c’est, je suis, j’ai, il y a, je veux…
Lexical outcomes: children learn common words through themes.
Colours, date (day, month, numbers), weather, feelings, animals, food,
body parts, class material and instructions, places…
Cultural outcomes: children learn a few facts about French culture and customs.
Icons, food, celebrations, geography…
Sessions format
Routine: this whole class activity allows children to get confidently involved in the lesson and reinforce syntax and lexical outcomes that have been introduced previously (‘bonjour’ or other songs, mood of the day, weather, …)
New outcome: a new sentence structure or some new vocabulary is introduced collectively. We then allow some time for children to practise it in small groups using manipulation material as a trigger.
Written activity: K-2 students either draw and write a few words or complete a simple working sheet in their exercice book. 3-6 students complete some work in their ‘3,2,1 … Partez ! ’ exercice book.
