Classes focus on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking in French and how to speak in everyday life situations. At Les Petits Potins we have structured our classes so that you have the opportunity to speak in French as you would in a real-life situation.
Our focus is on learning language which is both practical and relevant to you “pour communiquer en français”.
For those students with no prior experience in a class of the French language, or whose only words are “C’est la vie ” and “Oh la la ”.
These classes give you a strong base for a great start ! Your first term classes are designed teach you the basics. Although the atmosphere in class is informal and fun, the content matter remains serious. We then move to a textbook method.
Aims of the course
- Working on basic proficiency skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing: being able to introduce yourself and describe people, general feelings, places….
- Providing basic vocabulary and very first grammar rules (gender, structure of sentences, everyday verb forms…) to hold a simple conversation.
- Focusing on essential communication skills when you are in France: being able to ask for information or express your needs.
- Discover French culture facts and French “art de vivre”.
